Consistent Kilmaley maintained their perfect record with three wins from three to top Group 4 after overcoming Sixmilebridge at Zimmer Biomet Park in Ennis yesterday evening. Following a tightly contested opening period where goalkeeper Bryan O’Loughlin’s heroics and a touch of fortune when Shane Golden's low blistering shot rebounded off the post kept Brian Culbert’s side ahead but the 2025 semi-finalists decisively raised the tempo after the break with five unanswered points. Tom O’Rourke’s sharpshooting from play and placed balls, coupled with a trio of points apiece from Seán Kennedy and Cian Moloney, propelled Kilmaley over the line. A transitioning Sixmilebridge stayed in contention largely through the talismanic Jamie Shanahan—who posted 1-7, capped by a consolation goal with the final puck of the game—only to suffer heartbreak as they missed out on a quarter-final berth to Wolfe Tones on score difference by a single score.
